1 gen 1866 anni - The first study of heredity
Descrizione:
Johan Gregor Mendel, also known as the “Father of Genetics”, made an experiment with green peas, mixing it with another plant of peas that had different characteristics, this plant produced yellow peas, while his other plant produced only green peas, then he made different mixtures with that new plant with another, creating different generations of plants, leading to the conclusion that there are characteristics that are passed from one generation to other, where some characteristics are dominant (more present) or recessive (less present) in the newer generations. This principle is now known as heredity.
