A group of patriots protested by yelling and throwing things at a group of British soldiers. The mob was attacking the British and someone fired their gun. This shot was known as the shot heard around the world.Five colonists were killed. The colonists were outraged and they made it seem like it was a bigger deal than it was to make colonists madder at the British.
