This was a clsh of Native American tribes and the US government. The government sent out troops to evaluate the amount of gold in the regions promised to the Sioux Tribe in a treaty. When gold was found, greedy white began swarming the region and the government reacted by forcing the Native Americans to immediately move to a designated reservation. Other tribes came to their support and some of the battles of the war include Little Bighorn and Fetterman's Fight. There was brutality and bloodshed on both sides, the Native Americans ultimately lost the fight.
