He aims to overthrow the Bavarian government with the help of other right-wing forces and General Ludendorff through an armed insurrection. The Beer Hall Putsch was the name given to the incident. Hitler and 2000 Nazis march through Munich to the Beer Hall, where they will take over a gathering led by three of Bavaria's most powerful politicians.The Nazis march in the streets the next day, and the police open fire. Hitler manages to flee, but is apprehended, prosecuted for treason, and sentenced to nine months in Landsberg jail. During his incarceration, Hitler began dictating his views to Rudolf Hess, which were later published in the book Mein Kampf (my struggle). It is a hybrid of autobiography, political ideology, and a study of propaganda techniques.
