Daedalus, having provided Ariadne with the secret to the Labyrinth, commits his escape with his son Icarus. Using artificial wings, the two fly from Knossos. Unfortunately, Icarus' wings fail and he plummets to his death. Daedalus continued, landing in Sicily, where he is taken in by King Cocalus of Kamikos.
