Andrew Jackson was very anti Indians, he passed the Indian Removal act which forced the migration of thousands of Native Americans to the West. The case of Cherokee Nation v. Georgia was ruled that the Natives could not sue in a federal court, but in Worchester v Georgia the court ruled that Georgia did not have the right to push the Indian s out of their territory, but Jackson sided with the states. The US army forced fifteen thousand Cherokees out of Georgia and led to the death of four thousand Cherokees, this became known as the trail of tears.
