The fall of the Soviet Union was due majorly due to the great amount of radical reforms that soviet president Mikhail Gorbachev had put in place which had a great influence. Mikhail Gorbachev was not satisfied with the collapse of his nation. Baltic states were the first states to demand their freedom.
