However, on April 27, 2018, the two governments adopted Prosperity and Unification of the Korean Peninsula. While North Korea still remains a communist nation and South Korea still remains a democracy, the two nations are working towards greater peace. Both sides are hoping for greater relations and communication throughout the peninsula.
