5 dic 1919 anni - The Polonsky Conspiracy - Remaining conspirators go into hiding, and communist Makhnovist VRS demand an open trial, clearly too late, supported by nabat: Arshinov, Volin, et al. Makhno ends up threatening Volin with pistol, to which Volin calls him "drunk bonaparte" (rmf: sic)

Descrizione:

The members of the Gubkom who were still at large were afraid the
Kontrrazvedka would raid the apartment where their headquarters
was located, so the next morning they switched to full underground
mode. The Communists in the Insurgent Army demanded an
open trial for the conspirators. They were supported by the Na-
bat members Arshinov, Volin, Aly, and Chubenko. However the
Gulai-Polye contingent of the of the Shtarm insisted that since the
conspirators occupied command posts in the army that immediate
shooting was in order. Makhno himself was challenged before the
VRS to give an accounting for the unsanctioned shootings. But the
Batko answered that any conspirator was now working for Denikin
and threatened the VRS with his revolver. The chairman of the VRS,
Volin, responded by calling him "a Bonaparte and a drunkard":
