The Wii, Nintendo's best-selling home console, is released. The console comes with a Wii remote and a Nunchuk. As of September 2019, the Wii sold 101 million copies. Making it by far Nintendo's best-selling console. While the graphics don't look as good as the Wii games are set to 480p, the Wii is a very powerful software. The Wii also has a feature called backwards compatibility, meaning you can play GameCube games on the Wii using a GameCube controller. The Wii was discontinued in 2013 and it's best-selling game was Wii Sports at 82.90 million copies.
