1 gen 1850 anni - A modified version of the atomic model.
Descrizione:
Sometime in the 1800s, Dalton's model had to be modified because it could still not explain certain things. So it was later added that matter was able to have negatively and positively charged atoms. It was also added that small negatively charged particles could be separated from their atoms and moved to other atoms. Then later in 1831, Michael Faraday, found out that atoms could gain electric charges and form charged atoms which he called ions. Here are some of the changes they made in Dalton's atomic model:
Matter must contain positive and negative charges.
Opposite charges attract and like charges repel.
Atoms combine to form molecules because of electrical attractions between atoms.
They were beginning to add a lot more information to the new models and making much quicker discoveries at this time. Scientific explanations were starting to become more modern.
