Taiwan's Mainland Affairs Council, the Ministry of the Interior and the Ministry of Justice jointly held a press conference to reiterate Taiwan's position and call on the Hong Kong government to arrange for the relevant authorities of Taiwan and Hong Kong to discuss the establishment of a mutual legal assistance mechanism as soon as possible to effectively handle the Chan Tong Kai's case.
