In the 1830's, 125,000 Native Americans lived on the west. Only a little bit of Natives still lived in the west because of the white settlers coming and taking there home. The government forced them to leave their homes and walk to a new place in the east. Many lives were lost and this was a sad them in period. Tjis is also known as the Trail of Tears.
