Heckler & Koch started designing the G36 (Korbov TK6) and the MK23 (Tekna 9mm), the most modern weapons in the game, in 1991. The Korbov is specifically a G36C, which was developed a decade later in 2001, but as a CIA operative, it's likely that Hayden Tenno prototyped these weapons and their specific variants before their mass production and delivery in "early 1996." (It's unknown when EXACTLY they were produced, but the first MK23 was said to have been sent free of charge, in their words "delivered," to USSOCOM.)
