In late spring of 608 CE the Nohanen Oligarchy was overthrown by the Freemen of Nohan. The Freemen was a large group of middle class and lower class Men who were tired of the leaders of the oligarchy getting all the wealth and good food. As the last leading member of the oligarchy is slain he said, "On my dying breath, I pledge that Nohan will be the destroyer of Arcanó." His pledge would come to pass 820 years later.
