The ever reported slave sent to the new world was supposedly sent by Juan de Cordoba. The slave later most likely arrived at point comfort, which was a port for the Jamestown colony. The slave trade to this port was among the first of a great slave trade to the new world. In which roughly 12 million African people were displaced from their homelands. Most of the slaves in this trade were not sent to North American however, and were mostly sent to modern day Brazil and the Caribbean. With only around 400,00 people being sent there, compared to the 3 million sent to the Caribbean and the 8 million sent to Brazil.
