1 gen 1890 anni - Gramaphone & Victrola: Emile Berliner.

Descrizione:

Berliner’s Gramophone vinyl records competed with the wax cylinder graphophones in the 1890’s, for 10 years it was the only vinyl disc record. The Berliner vinyls were only around 2 minutes long on each side of a 7 inch disc. The range of material on Berliner’s discs was wider than what was available on the cylinders, Berliner was supplied with common band and song collections, but he also branched into piano music, ragtime, speeches, sermons, instrumental solos and some ethnographic material. Berliner also helped invent the Victrola (Victor talking machine)
