(1600-1750): Baroque art started around 1600 in Rome, Italy and spread throughout Europe in the 1600's and 1700's. Consisted of both music and art, but the art was launched by the Catholic Church to support them as a response to Protestantism. Involved drama, tension, and emotion, main artists were Caravaggio, Peter Paul Rubens, and Rembrandt, Baroque art and music shaped those industries forever.
