The group of people who set off to the moon on the rocket Apollo 11 were Neil Armstrong, Micheal Collins and Buzz Aldrin. Neil and Micheal got to go on the moon's lunar surface while Micheal was in the orbit of the moon. Many people will probably know the quote: "That is one small step for man is one giant leap for mankind." This quote is from Neil Armstrong. All 3 of these astronauts have sadly passed away.
