3 sett 1901 anni - Australia Flag was flown for the first time
Descrizione:
On the 3rd of September 1901, in honour of Federation, Australia had their first ever united flag specially designed. Earlier in 1901, Prime Minister Edmund Barton announced an international competition to design a flag which would represent the newly formed Commonwealth of Australia. The winner was Ivor Evans, a 14-year-old Melbourne schoolboy whose father owned a flag-making business. It is the same flag we have today, and it always will be.
