A man allegedly shot and wounded two people and then exchanged gunfire with officers in Long Beach, police said. One officer exchanged gunfire with the man and another struck him with a police cruiser after he fired at least two shots at the vehicle, hitting it twice. Whether the gunshot or the vehicle killed him was not immediately certain, but he was alive before the officer ran him down.
