Under Robred Gustaf, now known as the "Hero of Men", the kingdom of Hyrule was founded. He brought the Arcadian concept of King to the nation of Hylia and dissolved the Council of Twelve through a military coup.

Because of his popularity and the support of the military, no one opposed him. Although he didn't love her he married Lady Serenne, daughter of Baumer, the current High Priest of Hylia. He took her for a wife because she was a descendant of Hylia and carried her sacred bloodline and her prestige would legitimize his rule.

She isn't only the descendant of Hylia however, Madas the Chosen Hero and Kobo and his sons were also individuals that he would look to as means of legitimization. In his propaganda, he made himself their spiritual descendants as a warrior and leader, telling the Hylian people that just like them he would protect them as the "Hero of Men". And it worked, he was acclaimed by his new subjects. This is why in representations of Gustaf, he is often seen in the green of the Hero.

Out of the families of the council and his own personal followers he created the root of Hylian nobility. The new Royal Hylian Calendar is created at the demand of King Gustaf.
