22 ore 56 min, 20 lugl 1969 anni - First Man on the Moon

Descrizione:

The Saturn V rocket carried the mission Apollo 11 to the moon. The Saturn V is the most powerful rocket ever to have been successfully launched. The very first time that humans had been on anything other than the Earth, this was a crucial moment in history. Astronaut Neil Armstrong and crewmate Edwin "Buzz" Aldrin are the first people ever on the moon. They descend to the moon in their lunar module, Eagle, detaching from the command module, Columbia (with the third crewmate, Collins, inside). On departure they leave an American flag, a patch honouring the deceased crew of the Apollo 1, as well as a plaque with the message "Here men from the planet Earth first set foot upon the moon. July 1969 A.D. We came in peace for all mankind." Soon they blast off to rejoin Collins and the Columbia, splashing down on Earth off of Hawaii, ending a historic mission.
