Australia had officially federated in 1901. Before Australia did federate, we were six different colonies. We had seperate train systems, army forces and laws. You even had to pay a tariff to cross the border into another state. From the Eureka Stockade to the Tenterfield Oration, Australians finally saw eye to eye and agreed on what they wanted as a nation. Sir Henry Parkes and his team had made a draft constitution in 1890. He made another 15 speeches about federations and his main affirming points. 10 years later, Australia had federated but it didn't come into play until the year after in 1901.
