External Influence: The countries of the European Union (EU) agreed on Wednesday to impose sanctions on Venezuela, including an arms embargo and any equipment that could be used for internal repression. The punishments include the creation of a list of individuals linked to the excesses that occurred in the protests that took place in the South American country. The people included in the list will be banned from entering the countries that make up the European Union and their assets in the bloc's nations will be frozen. This initiative is the first diplomatic punishment imposed by the European Union against the Government of Nicolás Maduro for the democratic crisis in the South American country.
