1 apr 27 anni a. C. - Emperor Augustus Caesar introduces a new constitutional position to the Roman Empire: 27 BC (Growth of Rome Factor)

Descrizione:

Gaius Octavian Thurinus became the first Roman emperor, under name Augustus Caesar. He ruled Rome from 31-14 BC, and during this time, Augustus spent years experimenting with his constitutional position, finding a balance between the sole role of being the Emperor and creating a joint rule between himself and the senate. The balance of the two factors Augustus was able to create was one of the most successful political settlements in history, as it remained the structure of every emperor’s reign for the next three centuries.
