The go person war was multiple battles between the the achaemenid Empire of Persia and the Greek city-states. This began when Cyrus the Great Concord the Greek inhabited region of Ionia. During this war some of the battles were the most famous battles of the time period. Battle such as Marathon, Thermopylae, salamis and platea.During the Persian Wars religion was very important to the Greeks. It determine their decisions during the war.Sacrifices and gifts were given to the Gods for Aid in their efforts in the war. During the time of the wars Greece was a city-state. they had States versus an Empire. West for Persia they were an Empire.
