Chrome Apps is a section in the Chrome Web Store where apps, extentions, and themes can be installed or bought. This allowed paticipants to access their favorite subjects of entertainment. On August 19, 2016, Google announced that the company was disbanding Chrome apps due to a decrease in participation. All apps will be unable to be downloaded sometime in 2017 while apps that are already downloaded will be disabled in 2018. This is a problem for the people that actually use them becuase these apps were probably their way of relaxing and destressing.
