Seeking an end to the disputes over the Grandel region, and a lingering bitterness towards the Dantonese, and thus their ally Bridania, the Kaiser would seek to take all of the Grandel for his domain. After much planning and deliberation, this plan, code named Operation Blackwater, would be instigated. Late on the night of September 1st, the Kaiser would instigate a demand for the Tsardom of Bridania to cease all claims to the Grandel. This offer would be ignored, and so Trislandic troops would move in and occupy the territory, and set positions overlooking Brinaburg. Upon seeing this army, the Bridanians would concede to the demand. However, the Kaiser, seeing this as a way to start a war before the other powers became too powerful, would push on with his demands. Demanding a large island off the Grandel coast, and the sugarcane island. At this same time, a Dantonese scout would move into Trislandic lands, and the Trislandic Army would move to engage them, upon seeing these warriors on horseback as the scout began to enter Tristinople, they would flee towards the northern snow plains. The skirmish would end with the Kaiser stepping off his horse, taking off his armor, and crouching as a sign of peace.
