100,000 soldiers from the Italian Army attacked and invaded Ethiopia without declaring prior war. After Italy gained power over Ethiopia, the Italian staged a reprisal massacre, killing 30,000 Ethiopian citizens. This lead to conflict on both sides back and forth leading into WWll.
