This is a very interesting collaboration, because these artists have a rocky history. Collaborating in A$AP Rocky’s early career, the two were friends until rappers in each of their groups began feuding. SpaceGhostPurpp even released a diss track about A$AP Yams, titled “Cooking Yams.” After the death of A$AP Yams, A$AP Rocky and SpaceGhostPurrp mended their friendship and recorded the track, “RIP Yams.” Although neither artist released the track in any official capacity, Spaceghost uploaded it to his Soundcloud. It is short and does not mention Yams within the lyrics, but the implication is that the rappers put their differences aside following the death of a friend.
