The building was to accommodate 230 boys, 230 girls and 340 infants. As the infants school was not completed the 159 infants and their five teachers had to be accommodated in the mixed school. Most of the children were extremely backward and of the 159 infants about 120 had never been at school.
HOW HAS THIS CHANGED CHARACTER OF PLACE?
the children will receive an education, this will mean that they will be more able to get a better paying job in the future, this means in the long term, there will be more money invested back into the area as a result of this newly received education as a result of the school.
