The FET y de las JONS was the party after the merger set forth by Francisco Franco between the Falange and the Carlists. This was the single party in the Spain Francoist regime and was created in 1937 after Franco took power. This importance to this merger was that Franco followed in the steps of Fascist parties by taking the role of National Chief. This nationalist coalition gave Franco the supreme authority in this party, and was important to his control of Spain after the civil war as he can closely control the party to follow his actions.
