The Casas Viejas Massacre was a massacre on January 11, 1933. This saw the Spanish Assault Guard round up the anarchists who attacked the Local Civil Guard barracks in Casas Viejas and murdered them. A house was set on fire with many anarchists inside including their families. Those who survived were brought to the house and executed.
