The Spanish army inspired by General Franco started the Spanish civil war. Starting in Spanish- held Morocco .They did this by rebelling against the the Second Republic The main goal of the army was to destroy the left-wing organisations Franco's second in command General Queipo de Llano, told his soldiers ‘I authorize you to kill him like a dog and you will be free of all responsibility’. He said this to his soldiers for how to treat the Bolsheviks activists. It ultimately was between the international left, who supported the Loyalists, and the Fascist right, who supported the Nationalists.
