The RMS Titanic was the biggest ship of its time and was super luxurious. On its maiden voyage, it struck an iceberg offside the port bow leading to a long tear in the hull. As there were only enough lifeboats for 1,178 out of the 2,208 people on board, Hundreds died of hypothermia, Freezing to death in the cold water.
