Mary Shelley was born August 30th 1797, daughter to famous philosofer and feminist writer Mary Wollstonecraft. Mary Shelley married Percy Shelley, also a poet and writer.

The most distinguished work of Mary Shelley would have to be Frankenstein. Frankenstein came about on a famous night at the lake of Geneve. The tale is that Mrs Shelley, her husband and a couple of others in their company, all involved in writing would each have to come up with a supernatural story of their own. Mrs Shelley comes forth with the story of Frankenstein. Frankenstein is arguably the most famous work from the Romantic age, several movies and interpretations has been made from Mrs Shelleys gothic novel and every human being in the western world would recognize Frankensteins monster today.
