Police responded to a home in the 400 block of Tierra Dorada Circle shortly after 7 p.m. There, authorities found Elvia Martinez de Parra laying motionless on the ground with multiple stab wounds to her chest. Martinez de Parra was transported to an El Paso-area hospital and was pronounced dead shortly after.
Her son, Arturo Deandre Parra, 22, was charged with first-degree murder, aggravated assault and tampering with evidence.
