1 gen 1769 anni - Richard Arkwright's Water Frame
Descrizione:
The water frame was an invention used in the industrial Revolution. This invention was a machine for spinning cotton yarn operated by water power. The water frame worked different than the spinning Jenny and the spinning mule because it drew the threads of cotton out and then twisted them to make yarn, whereas the Spinning Jenny and the spinning mule performed both operations at the same time. The water frame produced a coarse thread that was used mainly for the warp of woven cloth.
