"I Wandered Lonely as a Cloud" is a verse ballad by William Wordsworth. It is Wordsworth's most renowned work.

The sonnet was enlivened by an occasion on 15 April 1802 in which Wordsworth and his sister Dorothy went over a "long belt" of daffodils. Kept in touch with some time somewhere in the range of 1804 and 1807 (in 1804 by Wordsworth's own record), it was first distributed in 1807 in Poems, in Two Volumes, and a reconsidered variant was distributed in 1815.

In a survey directed in 1995 by the BBC Radio 4 Bookworm program to decide the country's preferred lyrics, "I Wandered Lonely as a Cloud" came fifth. Regularly anthologised, the ballad is normally observed as a great of English Romantic verse, despite the fact that lyrics, in Two Volumes, in which it originally showed up, was inadequately inspected by Wordsworth's counterparts.
