The Alamo attack lasted 13 days. Mexican troops killed 189 Texans who fought to defend the Alamo. The Texas troops were lead by William B. Travis, Davey Crockett, and James Bowie. Texans were outnumbered and were defeated by Santa Anna's Mexican Army. This war resulted in many Texans and US soldiers who had to join forces.
