John Pemberton, an Atlanta pharmacist, created the syrup for Coca-Cola. He brought his new creation to Jacob’s Pharmacy where it was sampled by it’s first customers. They called it delicious and refreshing. The drink was the very first of its kind consisting of a super secret syrup mixed with carbonated water.
