22 marzo 1765 anni - =+-+=The Stamp Act=+-+= March 22, 1765 This was the first tax on the American Colonies. Up until now, the colonies could have whatever taxes they wanted. This tax was to recover some of the debt from the French and Indian War and it said that all paper goods had to have an official stamp on them that cost money.
