An emergency fund is important to me for any healthcare, transportation, and other living expenses that may arise. I would realistically aim to have almost $5000 saved by the end of University. In order to do this, I would make a savings plan to put away $100 each month to contribute to the fund. That way, in case of any unexpected spending I will always have a fund to draw from in order to avoid having to withdraw money from my active accounts. I will continue to save after University, but $5000 at $100/month is the milestone I have set to reach by my graduation.
