The Battle of Berlin begins. Bombing of the German capital will continue until March 24, 1944.The Soviet Union and the Allies where trying to capture however Adolf Hitler but, Hitler committed suicide and, the city of Berlin was reduced to rubble and around 22,000 German civilians were killed.
