After receiving a vision from the Lord instructing Peter to not regard anything as unclean that the Lord has pronounced clean, Peter recognizes that the Gospel was also available to the Gentiles. Peter meets a Gentile, God-fearing centurion named Cornelius who places his faith in Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit, to the surprise of the Jews, falls upon the Gentiles as well, sparking the beginning of the missions movement to the Gentiles.
