Films were another way the Nazis used to spread their propaganda. Goebbels censored the films as well. The films would include traditional German values and Nazi messages and were sometimes very antisemitic. At the beginning of the film would be a short news reel to spread more Nazi propaganda. You could only enter at the start so had to watch this.
Films were very popular among the people.

The film Triumph of the Will helped to spread the "Hitler Myth". This was the idea that Hitler was Messianic figure who would save all of Germany. It portrayed him as a strong, brave leader and soldier who worked for Germany. Furthermore, it showed him as liking children which would appeal to parents (especially mothers!). This film played in with this myth by showing Hitler descending from the sky , protecting and representing the German population.
