Cristo Redentor, Portuguese for Christ The Redeemer, is a giant statue at the summit of Mt. Corcovado, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Finished in 1931, this statue is the largest Art-Deco style sculpture in the world and has been named one of the seven modern wonders of the world. Standing at 98 feet tall, it can be seen through out all of Rio and is one of its most famous landmarks.
