The Boston Massacre was a street fight between a group of Patriots and some British officers. Multiple people died including Crispus Attucks, a black sailor. John Adams defended the officers in court and they were let off, soon to be proven guilty. The army was evacuated which created the perfect place for the rebellion group to grow.
