'In September 2017, the Board for Doctorates of TU Delft decided to postpone the thesis defence of Mr D. Hartanto due to signs of questionable behaviour. Therefore, The Board for Doctorates found it necessary to have an extra screening of his doctoral dissertation. The reassessment has shown that Mr Hartanto's thesis is sufficiently solid scientifically. Given this fact, the Board for Doctorates has, after serious and thoughtful consideration, decided to allow Mr Hartanto to defend his dissertation and propositions in public on 15 July 2019'.
